Clear Channel knows that the communities we serve are as diverse as the people in them. The unique flavor of each city and town on the map is the essence of its local spirit, as defined by the people who live, work, and raise families in those communities—and give of themselves in so many ways to help their neighbors.

Clear Channel Rochester, MN raises $112,500 through Breast Cancer Awareness Events!
Rochester, MN – For the fifth year, Clear Channel Rochester, MN teamed up to support Join for Journey’s Annual 10-mile walk. Join the Journey is a non-profit community organization whose mission is to increase breast cancer awareness and provide support to all newly diagnosed breast cancer patients in the Rochester area. With over 1,100 walkers and donations that reached over $110,000 they decided to take the fundraiser one step farther by creating Bras for a Cause!
Through this event, the Clear Channel team turned bras into cash and raised an additional $2500 during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The radio group partnered with Rochester Ford Mazda to raise money for Join the Journey by asking residents in Southeast Minnesota to donate their bras at various sponsored drop-off locations for Bras for a Cause. In turn the title sponsor Rochester Ford Mazda donated $1 for every bra collected. In just 4 weeks, a total of 2500 bras had been collected. To celebrate the success of these breast cancer awareness events, Clear Channel Rochester, MN invited area residents to Rochester Ford Mazda to see their bra fly high in the sky, strung from a hot air balloon, in honor of the money raised for Join the Journey!
The Clear Channel Rochester, MN team used local sponsorships, on-air involvement and incorporated digital advertisements to promote the 10-Mile Walk and the first Bras for a Cause event, which generated a grand total of $112,500!
